MIAD Fieldtrip

(Koi Fish)
Its very well known that I love koi fish with all my heart and seeing any sort of piece that features a koi fish really gets my goat. Especially seeing it in the school, it was inspiring to see that others were also obsessed with a type of fish and that it isn't totally taboo. Its very minimalistic and all of the same colour but would classify as a line painting, its also painted on a wall instead of a canvas so it doesn't entirely use up the space because on the other side of the wall is gallery space and they didn't want to take that away with a big fish mural. Its purely decorative and was just to spice up that little area.

(Shelf of 3 designs)

Each one is designing a living space in an effective and modern way. Each one has unique curves and draws the person to more than one point in the room. They've all veered away from the common, one point room and made it more interesting and more useful. The space can be used more than just a living room, it becomes a conversation piece and a place to dine. They also incorporate 'small space' usage ideals.

(House on the Hill)

This design features a front facing house and how it will look from that angle. We are able to view some of the rooms and what they will be looking out at and how the house will look built into the hill. Its extremely modern and features some 'Green design', where part of the hill is actually on top of the building, extending the plant life onto the building.

(Red Building)

I hadn't entirely noticed this building before until it was pointed out to me and it seemed sad that it had to be pointed out to me and that it deserved a little more love than it was getting.

(Female sitting on Stool)

I saw this portrait and thought it was a really nice take on figure drawing which is always either really detailed or very quick. This piece really puts those two ideas together. Though its quick you can really see what the artist was seeing in the moment

(Female Arms Raised)

This portrait is another figure painting, but very detailed, I'm always a little jealous when I see these because they are so good. I've found that I need to work more on skin tones both painting and drawing. I also need to learn more on how to make them and this is a great example of skin being changed by light.
